INCLUSIVITY PROGRAM COORDINATOR

REMUNERATION:

One-year contract with a total fee of $8,112 / $16 an hour for part-time work in Persephone Theatre. A work space and computer work station will be provided. The contract will stipulate that the employee construct a work plan for the year around 13 hours per week x 39 weeks of work. The work schedule is flexible within the total commitment of 507 hours.

DUTIES:

·       Plan, organize and execute Persephone Theatre’s Inclusivity Plan to provide access to our programming for persons who are deaf, Deaf, or hard-of-hearing, have impaired vision, have sensory issues, or who are in other circumstances that may present a barrier to attending the theatre.

·       Liaise with service groups to guarantee effective procedures to welcome these people to Persephone’s programming.

·       Liaise with various departments at Persephone to ensure the successful roll-out of the program, including but not limited to Marketing, Box Office, Production, and Front-of-House.

·       Organize training and informational sessions for Persephone staff as needed for each constituency.

·       Reach out to other cultural groups in Saskatoon to provide access to that same training as needed and possible.

·       Track expenses and keep the project within budgetary restrictions.

·       Track each constituency’s accessing of, and response to, the program, and provide the AD & GM with reporting that includes:

o   Hard data of attendance from within each group

o   Feedback from attendees about their experience

o   Feedback from Persephone staff and volunteers that includes both positive outcomes and concerns/recommendations for future seasons

o   Recommendations for future implementation/expansion/revision of the Program

·       Report to funders/donors/sponsors as needed, under supervision of Department Heads and/or the GM and AD

REQUIRED SKILLS:

·       Familiarity with professional theatre

·       Strong communication and organizational skills

·       Ability to work successfully with the public and to represent Persephone Theatre in a positive and professional way

·       Creative problem-solving abilities

·       Ability to work without supervision

·       Familiarity with one or more of the constituencies is an asset
