We are proud to be the recipient of proceeds from the opening reception of Art Now 2017! We will be purchasing artwork and fine crafts at the event for our Permanent Collection.

The Saskatchewan Arts Board’s 2016-17 Annual Report, Cultivating the Arts, focuses on how the arts impact our minds and feelings, challenge us to consider new ways of looking at the world, and provide opportunities for individuals and communities to develop their talents.

We have new application guidelines for the Independent Artists program.

Our review engaged Indigenous/Métis artists in the community, learning the ways in which they feel their art and work can be accommodated through our granting programs. 

Two influential Saskatchewan artists have made major donations of their artwork to the Saskatchewan Arts Board’s Permanent Collection of visual art. The value of the donations has been appraised at more than $161,000.

Arts Board grant recipients Sylvia Legris and Lisa Bird-Wilson have been nominated for Saskatchewan Book Awards.

The latest exhibition, COLOUR!, at Mosaic Tower at Hill Centre III in Regina features ten art works from the Saskatchewan Arts Board Permanent Collection.
