Presented to a Saskatchewan arts educator who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the arts in education and society by means of: innovative approaches to arts education through instruction, or an art practice, or creative partnerships with artists or arts organizations; and the engagement of students in the exploration of contemporary artistic ideas or creative experiences that stimulate their understanding of the arts. The award may be for career-long accomplishments or for a particularly innovative project.

Presented to an individual engaged in the arts in Saskatchewan who is recognized by peers as an established professional in his/her field; has produced a substantial cumulative and prominent body of work over a number of years; has made a sustained and progressive contribution to, and had a particularly significant impact on the arts in the province through distinguished lifelong career achievements; and has attained critical recognition regionally, nationally and internationally for an art practice and/or outstanding contribution to the arts.
